Explore how propaganda is used to instil political ideologies and its impact on our lives.
The course is led by Professor Maiken Umbach and Professor Matthew Humphrey from the University, together with Ian Cooke, Head of Contemporary British Publications at The British Library.
You will examine political views such as freedom, community, place and choice and how people’s ideas change and adapt through the use of propaganda. Drawing on the vast collections of the British Library from different periods and contexts, you as learners will contribute to the archives of the materials analysed.
This five week course starts on Monday 11 May and is open to anyone with an interest in politics, history and propaganda. For more information, visit the MOOC website.
