Festival of Social Science 2022: recap and feedback

November 23rd, 2022

This year’s Festival of Social Science has now come to an end.

Our fantastic researchers delivered 14 different events throughout the festival period, ranging from online lectures to interactive knitting sessions.

More than 300 people attended the sessions and feedback from both researchers and attendees has been really positive.

Some comments included:

“Lovely way to spend the afternoon with a view to engaging more widely in local events. Facilitators and location a joy to spend time with.” Attendee

“This event has raised important conversations around the history and connections of the slave trade and the industry’s in England cotton mills.” Attendee

“It gave me confidence to share my research in creative ways, and lots of ideas on how to develop this aspect of my work in future.” Event Leader

We hope the Festival will be back next year so please keep your eyes peeled for updated on how to get involved or email bb-esrciaa@exmail.nottingham.ac.uk if you’d like to find out more.
