Easter holiday fun at Lakeside

April 9th, 2019

Lakeside Arts welcomes families to a fantastic programme of fun activities this Easter holiday. From crafts, to dancing, to treasure trails, you’re bound to find something to entertain your little ones.

We kick off the holiday fun on Tuesday 9 April with Lindy Hop!, a class for those who just can’t wait for the next series of Strictly to start! Swing into spring in style and learn to Lindy Hop into Easter with this energetic dance class for ages 7-11.

On Wednesday 10 April, those aged 7+ can learn a variety of papercraft techniques to create their very own Easter Decs. Artist Elaine Winters will guide participants through skills such as willow weaving and marbling.

Join artist Sian Watson-Taylor for Shapes and Places on Wednesday 17 April. Taking inspiration from our current exhibition, Homage to the Bauhaus, participants will create 3D sculptures to transform the space they’re in. This workshop is suitable for all ages.

Prepare for an Egg-citing Easter with our special treasure trail suitable for all ages. The Easter bunny has hidden clues around the park – crack the password to win a prize!

Don’t forget, Lakeside also has two fantastic cafés, several gallery spaces and access to Highfields Park, so you can really make a day of it. The Djanogly Gallery even has special Art Investigator bags filled with dedicated activities, so young people can fully engage with the Homage to the Bauhaus exhibition.
