Digital Engagement – getting ready for an August start

March 9th, 2021

The university is on a journey to fundamentally change how we engage with our students, staff and partners.

To continue attracting the brightest, best and most brilliant students to our university, we must grow our digital capabilities so we can offer extraordinary experiences before, during and after their time with us.

Re-imagining the student recruitment journey

Digital Engagement is a three-year programme, approved by Council to start in August 2021. The programme will combine platforms, processes and capabilities to re-imagine the prospective student journey. From the moment they consider applying to the University, to the moment we welcome them on one of our campuses, our prospective students will receive incredible engagements at every touch-point and through every channel.

More than just technology

We’ll be implementing a world-class customer experience (CX) marketing platform built on Adobe Experience Cloud and Microsoft Dynamics365 (CRM). The programme is about much more than technology however, and will see us collaborate with our delivery partner Accenture to make significant changes to the way that we work and bring our vision to life.

You can learn more about Digital Engagement and what it will deliver through our newly launched SharePoint site.

Building an exceptional team to deliver our vision

We’re building an agile team of experience experts to design and deliver the prospective student experience. Our new team will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand the journeys we currently deliver, so that they can be re-imagined to create the most exceptional services, engagements and experiences.

More details about the roles we’re recruiting and how to apply can be found here.

Gearing up for an August start

Extensive preparation is ongoing to ensure a smooth start to the programme in August 2021. You can find out more about the progress of the programme and next steps here.

Over the next few months, we will engage with colleagues to provide more insight into the programme, as well as establishing a cross-UoN User Group.

We’ll be keeping you updated as the programme progresses, but if you have any questions or would like to find out more then please get in touch.
