Covid-19 contact centre to close over winter break

The Covid-19 contact centre – a helpline service for staff and students – will close for the winter break at 8pm on Friday 18 December.

Support will be unavailable via live chat and the phone lines until the new year.

Specific medical support can be sought from our Cripps Healthcare Centre or by contacting NHS 111. Out-of-hours, our security team is available on +44 (0)115 951 8888.

It will reopen for live web chat only on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 January from 12noon to 4pm. The phone lines and live web chat will be open from 10am to 8pm from Monday 4 January. The service’s standard hours are:

  • Monday to Friday – 10am to 8pm
  • Saturday and Sunday 12noon to 4pm

During opening hours, the team can be contacted by phone on 0115 748 7700 or via the live chat on the coronavirus web pages.
