Changes to Cycle to Work scheme

March 17th, 2022

Based on staff feedback, the university has increased the maximum value on our Cycle to Work scheme to £4,000.

The cycle to work scheme enables staff to make tax and NI savings on the cost of a new bike and safety accessories for their commute to work.

These savings are achieved via salary sacrifice which allows staff to spread the cost of the bike through monthly payroll deductions.

It’s also a great way to support staff to make healthy choices whilst reducing our carbon footprint.

The new change is effective immediately and will enable staff to have access to a wider range of bikes, including electronic bikes.

More details can be found on the Cycle to Work Scheme Employee Hub Page.
