Business School’s MSc Banking and Finance recognised as Centre of Excellence

July 20th, 2017

The Chartered Banker Institute (CBI) has formally recognised The University of Nottingham Business School’s MSc Banking and Finance as a Centre of Excellence in banking and finance education.

We are one of only four UK business schools to be awarded this status, which recognises the high standards of education available for banking and related topics.

The CBI aims to help potential banking leaders of the future to develop and maintain high standards of professional competence and an appreciation of conduct issues.

The Centres of Excellence initiative brings the commercial and academic world together, providing leadership, research and support to students helping them to embed the skills and knowledge required to work in the industry.

Graduates of Nottingham’s MSc Banking and Finance will have an industry-recognised professional qualification, together with a pathway into the industry, helping to distinguish them in a competitive market.

While they are studying, students will be able to maintain a student membership with the Institute. When they complete the course, students will be qualified to become a Member and eligible for Chartered Banker Status, the highest award available in global banking.

Find out more about the CBI Centres of Excellence initiative on the CBI website.
