2021 Cascade funding offers up to £10,000 for student projects

March 30th, 2021

Cascade funding is available to support projects that benefit the student experience at the University of Nottingham.

The fund uses donations from alumni and friends of the university to sponsor staff and student projects that benefit the student experience. Since 2007, Cascade funding has given away more than £1,000,000 to projects.

Applications are now being accepted for the next wave of funding.

Of special interest to the programme are projects that:

  • Connect campuses and communities
  • Encourage creativity and innovation
  • Enhance teaching and learning experiences
  • Promote environmental sustainability
  • Advocate for global citizenship
  • Promote healthy bodies and healthy minds

Examples of previous Cascade-funded projects include the hugely successful Foodprint, which is Nottingham’s first social supermarket and a surplus food distribution network. Elsewhere, Community First Responders was established in 2014 as a group of trained volunteers who act as an additional resource to the East Midlands Ambulance Service.

The deadline for applications is Sunday 16 May 2021 and the deadline for expressions of interest is Monday 10 May 2021.
