The University of Nottingham has a strong tradition of pioneering work in medicine, diagnostics and community health.
Thanks to world-class strengths in subjects such as chemistry, engineering and pharmacy, Nottingham’s medical community find themselves at the junction of some extraordinary inter-disciplinary achievements.
Building on its heritage and role in the development of MRI, the Campaign will progress major and diverse research programmes and seek to embed research evidence into clinical practice to significantly improve health outcomes and quality of life for patients and carers focused, for example, on our expertise in specific fields of children’s health, cancer, infection, pain, mental health, and stroke rehabilitation.
To promote and encourage a wider sense of health and well-being for all our stakeholders, the Campaign will enhance support for student sports clubs, improve University sporting and cultural facilities, and develop and enhance the parks that accommodate them.
This Campaign will also enable an expansion of our commitment to animal conservation and welfare recognising the important role that wild and companion animals play in both balancing our eco-systems, and in our enriching our lives.
