Aviva Community Fund – support Enactus Nottingham and vote now

May 8th, 2015

Enactus Nottingham are looking for as many people as possible to vote in support of their projects in the running for the Aviva Community Fund.

The projects with the most votes will go through to the final, where they may be awarded a grant of £10,000 – £25,000.

The two Enactus projects are:

  • Recovered – recycles and repairs waste furniture to provide affordable items that some of the most socially deprived in the community can buy to furnish their home. Helping to make housing into homes, the project also offers employment and volunteering opportunities for those struggling to get into work.
  • Think for the Future – there have recently been high profile cases surrounding grooming, and OFSTED has found that schools are struggling to deliver education that will help guide young people. This project is committed to helping young people to protect themselves from the situations life can throw at them. Using reformed individuals who have had a history of crime, or who have been exposed to sexual abuse, the project delivers engaging sessions in a variety of environments to help young people navigate through life choices.

How to vote

Anyone can vote – it takes two minutes to register, and your support could make all the difference. If you wish to delete your profile after voting, all you need to do is contact Aviva.

Enactus Nottingham is a not for profit, student-led organisation that exists within The University of Nottingham, which works to transform the lives of people in need through the power of business.
