Stefan Boness’ exhibition runs from Wednesday 16 November to Sunday 5 February 2012 at the Angear Visitors Centre. Admission is free.
Southern Street forms a poignant companion piece to the Lowry exhibition. It documents a row of Victorian terraced houses in Salford prior to its demolition as part of a contentious government urban renewal programme.
Despite the uniformity of the architecture, Boness shows us the individuality imprinted on each abandoned house by the people who once lived there.
