Become a Print Champion

November 7th, 2023

Digital & Technology Services are seeking your help to ensure we continue to deliver a high-quality Managed Print Service.

To do this, we need Print Champions to be responsible for the printers in your local area. As you will be aware, the university supports many printers in different buildings and offices throughout our campuses, and we need your help in keeping these printers functioning at their best.

Being a Print Champion means taking an active role in checking the printers in your area, reporting any issues and helping to keep them well-maintained.

It also involves conducting basic checks such as ensuring there is enough paper and print toner, clearing any paper jams and reporting any technical issues to DTS.

By becoming a Print Champion, you will be contributing to the university’s sustainability efforts by ensuring that printers are functioning efficiently, reducing waste and minimising unnecessary printing. This initiative can help to create a more positive working environment and improve productivity and morale among staff.

We understand that being a Print Champion may take some of your valuable time, but we assure you that it is a straightforward and rewarding task that can help to create a positive impact in your workplace. A full list of print devices can be found here. If you would like to volunteer, please complete this form.

We hope you will consider becoming a Print Champion and help keep the university’s printers functioning at their best. If you are interested in volunteering or have any further questions, please contact the Digital Transformation Team.

Hi , I don’t know if I can help as I am only here 9 – 12 part time but I use to look after our printers in a previous job but they were Konica printers so may need a bit of training. I am in the life Sciences building. Let me know if I can be of assistance ? Claire Moore my line manager may need to be asked if ok but thought I would see with being here part time if that would be useful to you. All the best Jim

Hi, we work at Kings Meadow Reception and can’t see our printer listed. The number is xusps0087. We as a team are prepared to be print champions.

Thank you.

Dear staff
I have looked at the spreadsheet and would like to complete the form.

Can you help how to complete the information about:

Printer asset number(s)

for example I am in Jubilee Campus and there are many printers and I cannot filter spreadsheet to see which one doesn’t have support to pick one. So would be good if you help me and tell me how do you expect us to select a printer?

Thank you
Sima
