Host a Conversation Station at the Nottingham Research Culture Conference

April 27th, 2022

Join in and help shape the research culture at Nottingham by leading a small group discussion on issues that matter to you and your peers. We build culture together and this is an ideal opportunity for you to add your voice to the discussions.

On Thursday 7 July 2022, the Researcher Academy will bring together postgraduate research students, technicians, early-career researchers, professional service staff, academics, and senior leaders for our first Research Culture Conference – Building a Healthy, High-Performing Research Ecosystem.

Together we will explore the changes needed to facilitate a paradigm shift in research culture within the university and academia and empower people to achieve their highest ambitions.

We are inviting all colleagues to submit a proposal to host a Conversation Station and lead a small group discussion on any topic related to the theme of Research Culture.

The aim of the Conversation Station is to spark conversation, stimulate ideas, initiative, and imagination.

Submit your proposal here by Sunday 15 May 2022.

Dr Jessica Rendle

I would be interested in attending this event. I am in a very small research area within the University, and I would like to see how we can build a culture of supporting the under-resourced research areas. This could be in relation of in-person support (someone to chat to about research) and support in seeking research funding. Is there an opportunity for collaboration across faculties?

Hi Jessica. If you email Shineen Dewil with that information she should be able to help or point you in the right direction. Thanks.
