The university is excited to be hosting its inaugural Professional Services Awards in May 2022 to celebrate our extraordinary teams.
2020 and 2021 have been extraordinary years for the university, and in particular for the Professional Services teams who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes, often unnoticed, to ensure that our campuses and core services remained operational under unique and often trying circumstances.
For the first time, on Monday 23 May 2022 we will be holding an inaugural Professional Services Awards ceremony.
This will be an evening of celebration and reflection, showcasing all that our teams have achieved and will provide an opportunity to come together collectively at our fantastic EMCC conference centre venue (note – physical attendance will be subject to any relevant government restrictions at the time).
To fully reflect the breadth and depth of services that are supported by our Professional Services teams, we have identified 11 nomination categories – all of which align to university core goals and values.
All nominations will be team-based to reflect the extraordinary collective efforts that we have all witnessed during the past 24 months.
Any member of the university’s staff or student community can nominate a team and Professional Services staff will also be able to self-nominate for any of the categories.
Nominations will open in early March 2022 and will stay open for six weeks. People will have the choice of either submitting their nominations digitally via an online form, using a printed paper form or by submitting a video/audio clip.
Paper forms will be distributed to key staff and student networks closer to the time.
The Professional Services Executive (Paul Greatrix, David Hill, Jaspal Kaur and Margaret Monckton) who are sponsoring the event, said: “We are absolutely delighted to launch our first PS Awards and see an event that we have been eagerly awaiting for the last 12 months come to fruition.
We are extremely proud and humbled by the extraordinary efforts of our teams and how they have contributed both on the front line and behind the scenes, to ensure our campuses, systems and services remained fully operational during the most trying of circumstances.
This event will provide the opportunity to showcase our amazing contributions and for us to take time to stop and reflect upon what we have collectively achieved. We are very much looking forward to celebrating these successes with you”.
Further details regarding the event and how to nominate will follow in the coming weeks.
If you have any queries about the PS Awards, or would like to volunteer to be involved in this celebratory event, please contact Sharon Caine.
