TEF award – removal from marketing communications

August 29th, 2023

The Office for Students (OfS) is advising providers not to use their Teaching Excellent Framework (TEF) awards in marketing or promotional materials aimed at students.

For the university, this will mean not featuring our TEF Gold Award in any marketing material that is directed at students, including any text references, or the use of following logos:

Any existing printed materials do not need to be updated. Information about educational strategy or internal management that is not aimed directly at prospective students can continue to use the TEF logo – provided it states, ‘Awarded in June 2017’.

If you are still using the email signature banner below, it must be updated with the new version, without the TEF gold logo – which is available on Brand Resources. Download it here.

If you have any questions regarding the removal of this information, please contact Corporate Marketing at brand@nottingham.ac.uk.

You can read the full TEF update here.
