No car parking in Main Visitor’s car park – Wednesday 11, Thursday 12 & Friday 13 December

December 3rd, 2019

Due to the recent period of wet weather, grassed areas on campus that would normally be used for car parking at events like graduation have become saturated and water-logged.

To make sure everyone attending a ceremony has access to convenient parking, we’re closing the Main Visitors car park on Wednesday 11, Thursday 12 and Friday 13 December.

The car park will be exclusively open to anyone attending a graduation ceremony, but will also remain open to staff, students and visitors who hold a blue badge.

Members of staff who would normally use this area for parking may want to consider alternative travel arrangements for getting to and from the University, including tram, bus or cycling.

People who need to use their vehicles to get to the University during graduation ceremony days should use alternative staff car parks located in the Central and Science Site areas of University Park Campus.

Security staff will be on duty during the graduation ceremonies and will be able to help out with advice and support for anyone with questions.
