Whether it’s through volunteering activities, economic impact, or going out of their way to be good neighbours, the vast majority of our students make a positive contribution to the communities in which they live.
We love celebrating these successes and every term the Off-Campus Student Affairs team puts together a Sway newsletter for residents living close to our campuses full of inspiring news stories about our students and the ways in which the university is benefiting local communities. In addition, around 4,000 households in the Lenton area of Nottingham receive a hard copy of the Community Newsletter delivered in conjunction with Nottingham City Council’s Arrow publication.
To do this, however, they are reliant on colleagues around the University sharing their good news about community relations and student impact.
If you have a good story to share please email them to Off-Campus Students Affairs Manager Jamie Dickinson at jamie.dickinson@nottingham.ac.uk before Wednesday 6 November. Articles for consideration should be around 300 words long and should ideally be accompanied by two photographs.
