Vice-Chancellor’s Medal 2019

October 3rd, 2019

The exceptional achievements and service of staff and students have been recognised with the annual award of the Vice-Chancellor’s Medal at a ceremony in the Trent Building.

The Vice-Chancellor’s Medal recognises those who have delivered the most exceptional achievement or made the most outstanding contribution to our University community.

For our colleagues in faculty and professional services, the Medal recognises impact delivered through research; exceptional teaching for students; and service to Nottingham’s communities at home and across the globe.

For our students, the Medal recognises personal achievements and service to fellow students including contributions to life in halls; student societies and sporting clubs; representation of the student body; or volunteering in the community.

Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shearer West congratulated each winner:

“Only a small number of Medals are presented in any given year and, with 20 awards being made for 2019, this year is no exception. Those receiving the Vice-Chancellor’s Medal this year join a truly prestigious circle of staff and students in the University’s highest estimation.

“I am sincerely grateful for your contribution and extremely proud of your achievements for our University community and the communities around us.”
