With effect from Sunday 5 August Arriva Midlands will be taking over the running of the University Hopper Bus service. The new partnership will see new double decker buses on all routes (with the exception of King’s Meadow Campus), with all buses equipped with cycle racks, internal screens and wifi.
The new buses will feature Euro6 engines as well as stop/start technology to improve fuel efficiency and reduce vehicle emissions. All of the buses will have bike racks on them and will have Eduroam Wi-Fi with charge points for mobile phones and tablets.
To better understand travel patterns we will be introducing University Card swiping on to the buses, so please have your University Card to hand when travelling!
The following changes will take place to the hopper bus timetables:
More details on the slightly revised timetables can be found at https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/sustainability/transport/travellingbetweencampuses/hopper-buses.aspx.
As previously announced, a long-term agreement has also been reached for staff and students to travel for free on the Medi-link and L12 services, with a dedicated 8.15am Medi-link service running from University Park directly to City Hospital during term time.

Hi,
I work in a hall of residence, can conference delegates use the hopper buses during their stay, and if so what documentation do they require.

I use the 901 service daily to comunute between campus and I am worried about the changes to the timetable.
Today (August 3rd, 2018), I have followed the link provided but the timetable currently available is the 2017/18 and it has none of the changes mentioned here.
Could you please provide a link to the new timetable with the changes.
Thank you.

Dear Campus news
I am a staff member living in Burton on Trent and noticed a couple of times recently a University of Nottingham hopper bus going through Burton, Horninglow district near the hospital. I am aware that Burton has joined the Derby Trust and some of our students of nursing have placements in Burton district. Is there to be a hopper bus between Royal Derby Hospital and Burton Queens Hospital?
Best wishes
Heather

Is there any possibility of reinstating the 7.55 from Derby Royal Hospital in non term time, as I’m a staff member and live in Littleover, Derby so this saves me a lot of money?
I hope you will reconsider.

Hi, I work in the school office in School of Education on Jubilee Campus. Re above announcement, when new staff start or visiting academics start, we tell them to get the hopper bus to university park to pick up their university ID card from security. if they don’t have their university card will they still be able to travel on the hopper bus? Please let me know. Thank you, Shirley
