Hopper bus service — contract awarded

Following a recent procurement exercise for the provision of intercampus bus services the University and Students’ Union are pleased to announce that with effect from 1 August 2018 the University hopper bus services will be run by Arriva Midlands.
This new contract will see new, cleaner and modern, buses on the routes and a number of enhancements to current services, which include:
- Improved frequency on the services that connect University Park and Royal Derby Hospital Centre;
- Re-introduction of connectivity to Kegworth on a number of the University Park to Sutton Bonington service;
- Significantly improving connectivity between QMC and City hospital by securing long term agreement for staff and students to travel for free on the Medi-link service
Further detail will be made available over the coming months.

That sounds like good news, especially the long term agreement for staff and students to travel for free on the Medi-link service.
It would be good if the KMC hopper bus service reverted to a larger bus that was easier to access and reverted to the original route which included the Jubilee Campus and the possibility to catch the bus near Science Road, as the Jubilee Campus hopper bus won’t pick up from that stop either.

Sounds Good. But what about L-12? would it be continued for free for staff and students?
I wish to suggest that the hopper bus 901 moving to city centre over the weekend which is extremely fantastic but would be truly helpful if it can leave the university by moving around cut through/beeston lane as too many student then can get the benefit who can avail this service from History or sports complex stops and most halls are around there.
One more suggestion is if 903 can work in late hours on Saturdays especially for the St. peter courts students.
