1,700 cyclists from a total of 18 countries have taken part in ‘IJN Ride 4 Your Heart 2017’, hosted at the University of Nottingham Malaysia.
The event, held in November, saw the cyclists travel through 115km of scenic routes, challenging undulating terrain and gradual hill climbs.
Starting and finishing at the UoN Malaysia campus, the route passed through the 130 million year old rainforest and rural areas of Semenyih, Peres, Kuala Klawang, Lenggeng and Broga in Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.
As well as the full course, there was a 38km fun ride for recreational participants.
The event was held in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the National Heart Institute (IJN)’s position as a healthcare provider and centre of cardiac excellence and research. It was jointly organised by the IJN and GoSportz.
