February 2nd, 2018
The University and the Copyright Licence Agency (CLA) is currently conducting a data collection exercise affecting all staff who photocopy or re-use published material, containing content under copyright, for teaching purposes.
Although not an audit, the exercise — running until 23 February 2018 — will provide the CLA with indications of copying or re-use, enabling appropriate payments to be made to the rights holders, rewarding authors, publishers and visual creators accordingly.
Copying from books, journals, magazines or any other published material which includes copyright content should be reported during the collection period: You may see posters describing how to report this, along with yellow data collection boxes, at selected photocopiers/printers across our campuses.
You can find out more on the Libraries website.
