The Vice-Chancellor’s inaugural lecture

November 20th, 2017

Our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shearer West, will deliver her vision for the University in an inaugural lecture at 10.30am – 12.30pm, Thursday 7 December 2017 to an invited audience of staff, students and stakeholders in the Great Hall, Trent Building.

To ensure as many staff, students and alumni as possible can view the lecture, arrangements are being made to live stream the event to PCs, campus screens and mobile devices across our three campuses in the UK, China and Malaysia. Details for the link will be made available nearer the time.

A limited number of tickets to the Great Hall event are also available through a staff ballot opening today. A buffet lunch will also be served for all guests in the Senate Chamber following the lecture. To register for your opportunity to secure a ticket, please record your details using this form by 12:00pm, Wednesday 29 November 2017.

Tickets will be allocated to ensure a fully representative range of staff can attend the event, across grades, sites, academic disciplines and professional services.

Separate arrangements have been made to ensure O&F colleagues without regular access to digital channels will be able to secure tickets.

The event will be recorded and a copy of the lecture will be made available afterwards.

Register here for your opportunity to secure a ticket.
