The extenuating circumstances policy and procedures are changing, in order to provide consistency across schools and clarity over processes.
The policy and procedures are applicable when handling claims from students who believe their ability to study or take assessments has been affected by circumstances beyond their control.
The new documentation is now available for reference on Workspace. The documentation will also be made live on University webpages when the procedure is launched on 25 September 2017.
If you’re a member of staff who is directly involved in the handling of claims, you can find out more about the change at a workshop hosted by Rachel Newnham, Complaints and Conduct Manager.
