From Monday 6 March police will be removing vehicles that are parked dangerously and obstructing emergency access points at Queen’s Medical Campus (QMC) and City Hospital. A fine of up to £350 will be imposed.
The decision has been made in order to ensure the highest levels of safety and ease of access for emergency services. It comes after a number of instances of emergency access being obstructed by vehicles, causing significant disruption to the services and inconvenience to passengers.
From Monday 6 March, any vehicles parked dangerously or obstructing emergency access (including parked on double red, double yellow or yellow hatched areas) will be removed. Fines will range from £150-£350 depending on the vehicle.
A reminder of NUH park etiquette follows:
Staff can contact the Site Matron or Security to report dangerous parking. The full car removal procedure can be found on the NUH website.
