Ambitious vision for research at Nottingham

The University of Nottingham is making one of the most notable investments in its history to raise our profile as an institution that delivers research of truly global significance.

By 2020, the University aims to:

  • Become a top five UK university for research
  • Join the top 60 global universities
  • Increase its research portfolio to £700m

This bold vision is set out in the University’s new Research Strategy, which will be unveiled in the new year.

Our researchers – and the staff who work with them – are at the heart of this vision. The University is determined to enhance our reputation for attracting, developing, and retaining the highest calibre of talented researchers and teams.
