Clarissa De Lyra, a third year undergraduate student studying International Media and Communications, won a bronze medal in Show-Jumping at the World University Equestrian Championships.

Clarissa, along with two other young riders, was selected by the HKEF’s Training and Selection Sub-committee to compete on behalf of Hong Kong at the Championship which was held in Flyinge, Sweden in July 2016. The World University Equestrian Championship is one of the best-known equestrian centres in northern Europe and one of the world’s oldest active national studs. The event attracted 54 riders from 18 countries, competing in both dressage and show-jumping.

Clarissa competes regularly in FEI International competitions and her next major goals are to represent Hong Kong at the 2017 All-China National Games and 2018 Asian Games.
