Enterprise and Innovation in Healthcare

Nottingham University Business School welcomes you to attend a one day workshop on Creating Enterprise and Innovation in Healthcare. The workshop is a taster session for our successful ground-breaking Executive Healthcare MBA programme.

The Executive Healthcare MBA is internationally accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and EQUIS. It is unique in the Higher Education marketplace as its focus on current developments and challenges in healthcare management provides excellent career and professional development specifically tailored to the needs of senior health care leaders. Although there is a strong focus on business, the modules contextualise theories in practices, perfect for the current evolution of healthcare in the UK.

The taster workshop will be led by experienced academic staff, Assistant Professor in Organisational Behaviour Dr Simon Bishop, and Director of the Executive MBA in Entrepreneurship Chris Mahon. We will also be joined by guest speakers from a range of backgrounds – including senior figures from regional healthcare organisations – to put our research and industry theory into context for working in a day to day professional healthcare context. The event will address the contemporary needs to create enterprise and innovation in healthcare and the day will include:

  • focus on current challenges for healthcare organisations attempting to adopt an ‘enterprise culture’ and operate within a diverse healthcare marketplace
  • introduction to Nottingham University Business School and Healthcare Management Faculty and Research
  • discussion of enterprise and innovation in healthcare by healthcare specialist faculty from within the school and guest speakers
  • sample of learning methods promoted within the MBA (Expert led talks and discussion, case study analysis and group work exercises)
