Creative English: engaging children through film, text drama, art, music and movement

This workshop will provide Primary school staff with pedagogical ideas around creativity in English, particularly in writing, using recent research.

It will be a practical workshop with many ideas to try in the classroom across many different areas of the English Curriculum. The ideas shared will adaptable to all year groups on the Primary phase.


£150 per person. Full day including practical workshop, resources and catering.

What you will learn

Participants will draw on their own expertise and experience to take part in a range of activities led by Sally Betteridge, who has worked in many city and county schools developing English teaching and learning. Recent research will be used to highlight the key issues in creative English teaching and pedagogical teaching and learning strategies will be practised and discussed.
