University of Nottingham Libraries are changing

March 29th, 2019

University of Nottingham Libraries are undertaking a major project to improve the student experience within libraries. The improvements are being made following calls from students for a more consistent, seamless and personalised experience when using the library.

Library users will start to notice the following improvements from Monday 15 April 2019:

  • All library resources will be in one place – NUsearch
  • Digital resources will be easier to access off-campus
  • Flexible loans will respond immediately to demand
  • Reservations will be easier
  • Fines will be fairer
  • Inter-library loans will be free (from Thursday 1 August 2019)

From Wednesday 27 March there will be some disruption to the normal service while Libraries move from their old system to the new one. More information on this can be found on the Libraries web pages.

You can follow Libraries as they make the changes to their service via their Library Matters blog, Twitter account@UoNLibraries, and dedicated web page, where everything you need to know about the changes is in one place.
