June 28th, 2023

The University of Nottingham has been ranked =100th in the QS World University Rankings 2024. We are ranked 17th amongst UK institutions.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Shearer West said: “This represents an excellent result for the first year of the University’s Global Reputation and Rankings Strategic Action Plan, commissioned by the League Table Steering Group and led by the University’s Director of Global Reputation and Relations with the support of colleagues across faculties and professional services departments.

“The QS WUR Top 100 is an extremely significant ranking boundary for international student recruitment, particularly in ranking sensitive markets such as China and the Middle East. It is also significant for the University being eligible for a range of other international Government sponsored bursaries for students.”

This year’s QS World University Rankings is the largest ever, with 1,500 universities across 104 locations, up from 1,418 last year. The results account for the distribution and performance of 17.5 million academic papers published between 2017 and 2021 and the 141.6 million citations received by those papers; they also account for the expert opinions of over 144,000 academic faculty and over 98,000 employers around the world.
