Tri Campus Games 2016 – back, and bigger than ever

June 13th, 2016

Eight sports. Three Campuses. One University.

Let the Tri Campus Games begin! Running from Sunday 12 to Friday 17 June at the University’s Malaysia Campus, the games bring together students from the three University of Nottingham campuses (UK, China and Malaysia) to compete against each other in a week-long festival of sport.

The Tri Campus Games were first hosted in University Park Campus in 2009, and take place at a different one of the University’s international campuses each year, involving nearly 200 student athletes from over 20 different nations. Underpinned by the ethos ‘friendship through sport’, the games offer a fantastic opportunity for sporting and educational exchange in the friendly spirit of competition. Ten sports will be played ranging from basketball, football and tennis, to badminton, Ultimate Frisbee and squash. All will include both men’s and women’s (or mixed) teams. Each of the international campuses sends 60 students to compete in the games. Get a glimpse into the athletes’ thoughts by reading an introductory blog post from Ellie Hill, Team UK Volleyball player.

We will have daily updates and reports on the Sport at UoN blog, and you can also find UoN Sport on Twitter and Facebook.

Keep up to date with every goal, point and basket by following #TCG2016 on social media – and make sure you use the hashtag to let us know what you think!
