Now in its third year, this hugely successful regional festival will be displaying the wide and varied work taking place throughout Nottinghamshire by local history and archaeology societies, archaeological units, museums and other regional archaeological organisations. This big event will include displays, activities, handling of original material and talks. The day is suitable for everyone including those with a general interest, people taking part in historical and archaeological work and those wanting to get involved.
Pint of Science, the international science festival, makes its debut in Nottingham. Nottingham will join over 100 cities around the world which will take part in the global festival from Monday 23 to Wednesday 25 May, and will see more than 30 University of Nottingham scientists appear in local watering holes.

Join the Sutton Bonington Guild and SB Music Society for a day of live music, art, fairground attractions, Farmers’ Market and Beer Festival, and so much more! The event showcases the talent and societies of the University of Nottingham’s Sutton Bonington Campus with various ensembles performing throughout the day, including the SB Symphony Orchestra and SB Singers concert performance from 7-9pm.
Bernard Fairman, Founder and Chairman of Foresight Group will speak on the topic of ‘Foresight: the rise, fall and then exponential rise of a financial services group’. Foresight is a leading, independent infrastructure and private equity investment firm that has an important relationship with the Nottingham area through the £40 million Foresight Nottingham Fund, based in the Creative Quarter.
The Being Human Festival returns in 2015, showcasing the role that the humanities have in the cultural, intellectual, political and social life in the UK. This year’s Nottinghamshire theme is ‘Creative City’. The University of Nottingham, working with a range of external partners in the East Midlands, will hold a series of events focused on the city of Nottingham as a creative space and source of inspiration.
