Stay connected – accessing eduroam Wi-Fi

February 1st, 2016

From February 2016, the University is changing the way staff and students access Wi-Fi.

Instead of using UoN-Secure, you should now connect to the eduroam Wi-Fi. It’s easy to set up:

  1. go to Wi-Fi settings on your device
  2. select the Wi-Fi network ‘eduroam’
  3. enter your University username followed by @nottingham.ac.uk (for example: abyab@nottingham.ac.uk)
  4. enter your University password
  5. accept the certificate when prompted

Eduroam is available on all University of Nottingham campuses, and is also used by many universities across the globe. If you are visiting another university where eduroam is available, you can also connect there using the same details.

If you have any trouble accessing eduroam, contact the IT Service desk by email (itservicedesk@nottingham.ac.uk) or the self service portal or by phone on 0115 95 16677. Alternatively, visit the Smart Bar in Hallward library.
