George Green Library clean-up update

June 22nd, 2016

After a review of the clean-up operations, we can provide the following updates on George Green Library:

  • The library is now open and can be accessed from the entrance opposite Pope Building
  • We do not yet have services on A floor but everything is accessible on floors B to F
  • We have set up a temporary lending desk in the CS office on B floor
  • The clean-up work will be prioritised on the entrance level – it is expected that it will be completed and re-opened on 29 June, utilising both entrance doors
  • The lower ground floor area and cafĂ© are expected to take 3 weeks to restore and re-open

These are our best estimates however, due to the nature and extent of the clean-up works, the quoted dates may be subject to change. If this is the case, we will give as much notice as possible and update information will be posted in the library.

The library will be open for Open Days.
